I started this blog after I had a really bad experience with Cingular Wireless when I tried to change my AT&T Wireless phone plan to a cheaper one. It appears that the integration of AT&T Wireless into Cingular Wireless forced me to get a brand new and almost identical "Cingular" phone if I wanted to change plans. The requirement forcing me to get a new phone made my old phone totally valueless after only a year and a half of use. This blog is about ways that wireless phone companies use the practice of locking phones, offering free phones, and perpetually marketing new phones to force consumers to act environmentally unsustainably.
